Joel Kamm, Founder/CEO
Joel is a problem solver who loves a design challenge. With a background in retail and FMOT (first moment of truth) design at Gillette, Procter & Gamble, New Balance, Velcro, Staples, iRobot, his favorite projects start with a small space and defined limitations. He believes that mobile retail can only truly succeed with a purpose-built unit designed from the ground up. (Shipping containers make him very sad.) His education and professional background in business, art, and design made him uniquely positioned to dream up the idea of the mobile tiny unit. But it was his core belief – let’s make things better, because we can – that pushed him to start Flexetail. When Joel isn’t innovating at the Flexetail shop or setting up retail partners for success at an activation, he’s working as an alumni mentor at Babson, designing and rehabbing homes, spending time with his family, or out on the road on his Harley.
Lucia Kamm, Co-Founder
Lucia is passionate about people, especially entrepreneurs. She believes entrepreneurs have the power to make the positive difference that the worlds needs right now – one business, one team, one idea at a time. Lucia is also an experienced marketing & business leader with proven success in product management, marketing, and general management. She most recently was a Senior Product Manager, Chief of Staff at TripAdvisor to the head of product. Prior, Lucia spent a decade at Procter & Gamble where she was recognized as a dynamic brand and product leader who built high-performing teams and created products that consumers around the world love. One of her proudest accomplishments is completing her MIT Sloan MBA in 2015 with her 2 month old newborn son, Charles, in tow. During her time at Sloan, Lucia also designed and launched a revamped entrepreneurship curriculum and created a program that explored the positive impact of entrepreneurs in startups and corporations. Lucia was recognized with back-to-back MIT Sloan MBA achievement awards for her efforts.

He participated in the Olwen Solar Garage design build on campus as well as the OTIS I Trailer. His experiential design education inspired him to pursue an M.Arch degree at the Massachusetts College of Art and Design where he is writing a thesis on Biophilic Urban Industrial Space. Aidan's work at Flexetail revolves around the design and manufacturing of product in a way that pushes the boundaries of ecological integrity within contemporary retail space.
